Fab Book on Interacting with Dogs – My Book Review

Castiel with a Porter and Midge electronic copy.

Teaching kids and adults how to interact with dogs is vital for the safety of the dogs and humans. Authors Giselle Nevada and Jennie Chen put their love of dogs into action once again in creating their next book, Porter and Midge: Paws for Safety: A Kid’s Guide to Safe Dog Interactions.

All dogs want to be loved. Most kids and adults want to interact with dogs. Who doesn’t? Petting a dog brings out all the warm fuzzies, brings smiles, and calms nerves. This story takes readers on a journey to how to safely interact with any dog. Dogs need kindness, space, playtime, and adventures. The authors brilliantly cover the dos and don’ts for each of these interactions.

Beautiful illustrations and well-written text guide readers to understand the best ways to engage or avoid a dog altogether with every turn of the page. Castiel gives this book 5 Paws.

If you love dogs and have kids, I highly recommend reading this book and all of the books by these authors. Someday I hope to meet Porter and Midge in person.
